Hi everyone, I have been trying to sort out a battery issue with my car and thought I would ask here before making a decision. My current battery is getting old and lately I have noticed that the car takes a little longer to start, especially when I have not driven it for a couple of days. It has not completely failed yet, but I would rather replace it before I end up stuck somewhere at the worst possible time. The battery currently fitted in my car is an 80Ah model, so I am looking for something with the same capacity rather than changing to a different size without knowing whether it is suitable. I live around Za’abeel and would prefer to get the replacement from somewhere reasonably close because I do not really want to drive around Dubai with a weak battery just to save a little money. I have been checking different options online, but honestly there are so many battery sellers that it is becoming difficult to tell which ones are actually reliable. Some places advertise very cheap batteries, while others charge quite a bit more, and I am not sure how much of that difference is related to battery quality, warranty, installation, or simply the name of the supplier. I came across the phrase Quality Amaron 80Ah battery supplier in Za’abeel while looking around, and that made me curious about whether Amaron would be a sensible choice for a daily driven car here. I have heard good things about Amaron batteries from a couple of friends, but I have never personally used one, so I am wondering how they perform over time in Dubai’s heat. The weather here is obviously not easy on car batteries, especially during the hotter months, and I would like to buy something that can handle normal daily use without needing replacement again after a short period. Another thing I am unsure about is whether I should replace the battery at a workshop or have someone come to my location. I know some battery services offer mobile replacement, which sounds convenient, particularly if the old battery suddenly stops working. At the same time, I am slightly more comfortable visiting a proper shop where someone can check the charging system and make sure the battery is actually the problem. Maybe I am overthinking it, but I would rather check everything properly than install a new battery and discover later that the alternator or another electrical part was causing the problem. I would also like to know what people normally check before buying an 80Ah battery. Is the Ah rating enough to match, or should I also pay close attention to the battery dimensions, terminal position, CCA, and the manufacturer’s recommended specifications for the particular car? I have seen people say that choosing the wrong battery can cause problems even when the Ah rating looks correct, so I do not want to make a careless purchase. Warranty is another thing I would definitely consider. If two batteries have similar prices, I would probably choose the one with better warranty support and a supplier that will actually help if something goes wrong. I am not necessarily looking for the cheapest option because replacing a battery is one of those jobs where saving a small amount now may not be worth the trouble later. What I really want is a dependable battery, fair pricing, proper installation, and some confidence that I am buying the right specification for my car. If anyone around Za’abeel has recently replaced an 80Ah battery, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience. Which brand did you choose, how much did you roughly pay, and did you buy it from a local shop or use a mobile battery replacement service? I am especially interested in hearing from people who have used Amaron for a while because I want to know how it holds up after several months of regular driving in Dubai. Any advice on what to check before ordering would also be helpful. I would rather spend a little time researching now than deal with a dead battery later, so real experiences from other drivers would be much more useful to me than just reading advertisements.
