I’m curious what car you’d go for if you had a budget of £10,000 to spend on a used car right now. With so many options available, it feels like there’s a lot to consider beyond just the badge or looks. Reliability, running costs, comfort, and how enjoyable the car is to drive all seem just as important.

Personally, I think this budget sits in a really interesting place because you can find some genuinely good vehicles without stretching into expensive ownership territory. I’ve been looking through different options, including Japanese cars for sale, as they often have a strong reputation for dependability and long-term value.

A few things I’d be looking for:

Good reliability record and affordable maintenance
Reasonable fuel economy for everyday driving
Comfortable interior with useful features
A car that still feels enjoyable after years of ownership
Strong resale value if I decide to change later

Some cars I’d consider include a well-maintained Honda Civic, Toyota Auris, Mazda3, or even something slightly larger like a Subaru if the right example came up. Of course, condition and service history would probably matter more than the exact model.
