We’re opening a summer cafe shortly and need to sort out the seating for our small terrace. I want to buy outdoor furniture that will actually survive a few years of heavy use. We strictly want to avoid any of that flimsy plastic rubbish and get something genuinely comfortable. I picture cosy little sofas, compact tables, and things along those lines. Where can one find proper commercial pieces in the UK?

Guests at pubs and cafes have zero respect for the furniture. They just spill drinks everywhere and drag things across the concrete without a second thought. The British weather also destroys standard domestic seating in just a few weeks. You should skip the regular retail shops entirely for this project. Their cheap products just aren’t rated for public venues. Places that supply real pubs usually sell heavy metal sets that never rust.

High quality upholstery makes a massive difference for keeping the customers comfortable outside. Nobody stays for a second round of drinks sitting on cold steel or hard wood. You should have a look at the outdoor dining furniture here: https://rengard.co.uk/product-category/outdoor-dining-sets/ . The collections feature water-resistant fabrics and sturdy commercial frames. Your terrace will look brilliant and survive the daily traffic effortlessly.
